Event Skills Program

Why join the Event Skills Program? 
This intensive program has been designed in collaboration with the Tasmanian event and festival industry, including some of the teambehind oubest events and festivals! 
You will receive training from industry that will ensure that
- you build practical skills through real-life experience 
- gain industry connections and networking opportunities 
- understand the Tasmanian event sector inside and out 
- create a direct pathway into employment in the events and tourism sector 


REGISTER YOUR INTEREST HERE
Essential Information: 
Where: Hobart and surrounding areas within Southern Tasmania.  
When: Classes and placements will run from March to August 2026 – a combination of up to 10 days of theory classes and up to five days of practical placements at Tasmanian events.  
Cost: $400 per participant, includes learning resources, safety gear, all classes and placements.
EoI Closing Date:  EoI's will be accepted until CoB Friday, 27 February 2026
Limited spots in the program are available - register your interest early to secure your place! 
Once you have submitted your EoI you should expect to be contacted by a member of the THTA team after Friday, 6 March 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an in-person interview.
